Angels Helping Children began from a call out in the night for help.  A young man of 14 years old was about to take his life, in a desperate attempt to stop suffering. His parents had both died and left him with 4 younger siblings age 2 to 11, looking to him to provide food and care. He said "The babies keep crying at me", as they had gone for 4 days without food. In Uganda, there are no opportunities for support or assistance from community sources. I asked how can I help? He responded with there is nothing you can do, as we are thousands of miles away. After encouaging him to not take his life, I asked myself, what can I do? And that's how this journey of Angels Helping Children began, on a cold dark night of December 2023. We have since begun providing care for this family, and 2 other orphanages in Mityana, Uganda. At the present moment, there are 67 children we help provide clean water and food to.
